Registration:
Premier registration with Mars Venus Dating is FREE and there is no obligation to you. In order to view other profiles you need to be a registered member with our service.
The registration process is simple:
Go to registration
and enter the requested information. Your user name and password both need to
be a minimum of 6 characters.
Once this step is completed a confirmation email will be sent to the address you entered. There is a link in the email you need to click on to validate your account and activate your login. Once you have done that you can begin your profile. Be sure to enter your e-mail address carefully as your password is automatically sent to this address. If you enter an incorrect email address you will not receive your password and you will not be able to create a profile.
General Searching:
We offer a search program that allows you to be as open minded
or as specific as you are comfortable being. There are currently 14 different
search selection categories. Some of these are age, state/ country of residence,
body type, gender, religion, and whether the profile includes a photo.
Feel free to be as specific as you want when searching the profiles, but keep
in mind the more narrow your search, the fewer candidates there may be. If,
in a specific category, you are open to all options, the best thing is to leave
all of the options unchecked. Our system will read this as "open to
all" in that search category. For example, if religion is not important
to you, do is not select any of the check boxes and you will be matched with
people of all religions.
5 basic options: Use the drop down options to make your selections- only one option per drop down is possible.
9 advanced search options: We provide check boxes. You may select as many of these options as you desire.
Displaying results:
You can display results in the following ways:
- By age: This will show the oldest profiles first
- By who is online now: Only shows results that are currently online.
- Since your last visit: Shows new members who have joined or updated their profile since the last time you logged on.
- Newest Members: Shows the newest members first
- Photos only: Check this box if you only want to see results that have photos
You can also select how you want to see your results:
- List: Displays an image and the online status, age, city, and state of the member.
- Gallery: Displays only images and online status of the members.
Types of Searches Possible:
Open search: On all searches, the standard protocol is that if you select specific parameters to search by, i.e. age, height, religion, etc., then the results you will receive will display only profiles that have those specific characteristics. All areas that are left blank are considered "open" and we will return all potential matches.
If there are areas that you are open to all options please do not check anything; leave the options blank and we will return all possible matches.
Search by user name: If you know the username of a particular user, you can search for it by entering that name in user name box at the top of the page.
Search by location: You can select the number of miles from your zip code you are interested in dating, state, and country that you are open to. Please remember that some zip codes are made up of dozens of miles- to see a member"s specific city you will need to view their profile. You can do this from the search result page.
Search by characteristics: We offer 9 specific characteristics you can select from. Again, if you feel open to a particular area please leave the check boxes blank and all available results will be returned for you. When you make selections remember that you can check as many of the boxes that apply to your particular taste. If you wish to find an individual member, you may type their username directly into the "Username" text box and click search.
Editing Your Profile:
Once you place your profile online you can edit it at any time. Your profile is made up of 8 parts and you can edit all of them by clicking on the "Profile/Features" link in the left hand navigation. On the right side of the page is a box titled "Profile." Included in that box are links to the following sections:
- Basic profile
- Advanced Profile
- Hobbies
- Who I am looking for
- Basic Test
- Advanced Test
- Satisfaction Quotient
- Add Pictures
Click on any of the links to edit that section and resubmit your information. Once you have completed the changes you want to make click the "continue" button at the bottom of the page. This will redirect you to the home page. You can view your profile at any time by clicking "My Profile" in the left hand navigation.
Adding Photo(s):
When you register and begin filling out your profile, you will be asked to upload a picture of yourself when you get to the "My Media" section. You are allowed to upload 3 photos with a total file size of 900KB. Our recommendation is to use 3 photos that show you in different ways: One close up, one full body view, and one "action" shot. This will give prospective matches a more realistic view of your looks and can help minimize any confusion later on.
Additionally, try to keep the size of your image as small as you can. Keep in mind that uploading your photos may take several minutes if you are using a dial-up Internet connection.

You are allowed to upload 3 images with a total file size of 900KB or smaller.
Checking the size of your images:
You can check the file size of your image on a PC by running your mouse over the image you want to upload and pressing the right button on your mouse. This will bring up a list of options, one of which is "properties". Click the properties link and it will tell you the "size" of your picture. If the size is under 900KB then you can upload it as one of your images. You may upload up to 3 images that have a total file size of 900KB.
All pictures need to be in a "jpg" format- this means that the last 3 letters of the picture you upload need to be "jpg." We automatically reject images that are of a different file type or size, including "gif", "bpm" and "psd" files.
Private pictures can only be seen by other members on your hotlist, and only if you allow them to see them by clicking "Profile/Features" in the menu, then "My Hotlist." All pictures, including private pictures, must be free of nudity or they will be removed.
Posting an Image:
You are allowed to post up to 3 images that have a total combined file size of 900KB. (For more detailed information about this see above)
Click the browse button to find where on your computer your image is located. Once you locate the image click update now. This page will refresh, and you will be able to see a small version of your picture.
Our suggestion, to save you time, is to update each picture one at a time. This will ensure that if your picture brings you past the 900KB limit you will know which one to remove.
Remember, you need to press the "upload" button after selecting each image. If you leave this page without pressing, "upload" your last image will not be saved.
Once you are finished uploading your pictures, press "continue" to complete filling out your profile. If you have already completed your profile please use the buttons on the left to navigate back to your profile.
Removing an Image:
Click the check box to the right of the image you want removed and then press the "update" button.
Private images:
Click the check box to the right of the image you want made private and then press the "update" button. Private pictures are available only to people you allow on your hotlist. To allow another member to see your private pictures, click "Hotlist" in the left hand navigation.
Profile/Features:
Update Registration: From this link you can edit your password, name, birth date, email address, and sign up for our newsletter.
Manage Blocklist: From this link you can manage the users you have blocked and remove those users from being able to see your profile.
Hide Profile/Show Profile: Click this link if you want to make your profile either visible or invisible to other members. Clicking this link will change your status. When you are ready to change your status again, click this same link and it will make your profile visible again.
See who's checking you out: See the latest people who have looked at your profile.
Delete Me: From this link you can completely delete your profile from our database.
Changing Your Email Address:
You may change your email address by clicking "Profile/Features" in the menu, then "Amend Registration". You need to be logged in to access this section.
Mars Venus Newsletter:
To register for the free Mars Venus newsletter click "Profile/Features" in the menu, then "Amend Registration", then check the "Newsletter" checkbox at the bottom. You need to be logged in to access this section.
